3 DAYS OF FUN AND PRESSURE
QNHS ENGLISH FEST 2017! It has been an epic three day event, not only for me, but for all the people who are part/participated it. Even though it is very tough and frustrating, it was a fun and successful event after all. I was able to share my talent and passion to help to the success of the event.

Video editing is really my passion which I really find fun when doing it, but working with other people while doing my passion is a lot more than I thought.
​
Being part of the technical team for the English Department family was very fun and pressuring, fun for the simple reason that it is English (remember having shirts that have “English time is fun” quote in it?) and pressuring because you have loads of works to do in time, plus my other academic works! But overall I have nothing against it, as long as it’s fun.
​
Receiving praises from the teachers and audience inspired me to do more, to strive for more and to do my best for the success of the event.
​
Also aside from video editing, we, the four sections (Elysium, Valhalla, Newton, Einstein) worked together to create the living gallery of grade 10 that was really awesome.

'Challenges', we encounter them every single day, but in some cases, we think deeply and ask ourselves, how do we deal with these challenges?

Every Nation Campus (ENC) with their speaker, 'Kuya' Jerson, talked about problems and challenges represented by a story, David and Goliath. The story deals with how faith in God truly keeps and saves us from any harm which is our key to overcome our challenges. Having David as a weak, skinny and small guy, these characteristics doesn't represent his power together with his faith against a 9 feet tall guy which is Goliath.
​
The story doesn't only represent David beating Goliath but rather the one and only thing that made him beat Goliath, and that is faith in God. David said that Goliath comes to him with sword, shield and suit, but he comes to Goliath with his faith in his Lord, this specific line gives me the impact and a message that no matter what happen and no matter what challenge I will encounter, faith in God will always be the key that will save and give me that power that I need to beat my Goliath in life.
Having these things that I have learned, this will help and guide me beat any problems that will come to my life. This also tells me that God will not give us challenges that he knows we can't overcome, it is just a matter of being bigger than our problems and not making our problems smaller.

FACT LANG, HUWAG FAKE
"Fact or Fake" two words that have opposite meanings, two words that have different ideas, and two words that both affect the mass and society.

After watching Joseph Morong's Fact or Fake, I suddenly realized a lot of things going through the world of the year 2017.
​
Fake news as stated on the internet is is a type of yellow journalism or propaganda that consists of deliberate misinformation or hoaxes spread via traditional print and broadcast news media or online social media.
​
Meaning it is a statement or specific text which is not true and do not have evidences. Plus its main purpose is to mislead the people to believe in such information which is a false information.
​
As Joseph Morong stated in the video, the word 'Fake News' became so popular that it actually titled as the word of the year by the Collins Dictionary.
​
This does not only tell how fake news dominated the year 2017 but also how it affects the people who are actually receiving fallacy information.
By this, it can lead to much bigger problems in the society, by having these information, it can lead to curiosity among the people who are receiving it.
​
But through all of this, altogether we can spot and fight fake news. Just like Joseph Morong said, "Dapat totoo, huwag magpapaloko, maging wais at laging magtanong" Fact or Fake?
